Two days later, Arthur Sterling managed to secure a brief meeting with Marcus in the lobby of the hospital.
The older billionaire looked utterly broken.
"Marcus, please," Arthur begged, his voice cracking as he stood before the younger CEO. "Take my company. Take everything. Just drop the aggravated assault charges against Victoria. She's my only child."
Marcus looked at the man with absolute, freezing indifference.

"Your daughter placed her heel on the chest of my pregnant wife, Arthur," Marcus said, his voice dropping to a lethal whisper. "You are lucky I am letting the justice system handle her, instead of handling her myself. If you ever contact my family again, I will ensure you share a cell block with her."
Marcus turned his back and walked away, leaving the ruined king standing alone in the lobby.
