Chapter 45 - Dawn Over Tokyo Bay
The morning sun broke over Tokyo Bay, painting the skyline in brilliant hues of gold, amber, and rose. Sirens wailed softly in the distance as Japanese financial crimes investigators and state police secured the perimeter around Tanaka Holdings.
Inside the executive boardroom of Whitmore Asia, the board of directors sat in respectful, stunned silence as Claire Whitmore took her seat at the head of the polished obsidian table. Tanaka was already in police custody, facing decades in a maximum-security federal facility.
"The regional integration is complete," Claire announced, her voice carrying absolute power across the room. "Whitmore Asia is officially online, operating on absolute transparency, sustainable architecture, and unyielding integrity."
Arthur stood near the floor-to-ceiling windows, watching the sun reflect off the pristine glass towers of the city. Natalie joined him, handing him a cup of black coffee with a quiet smile of profound satisfaction.
