Chapter 29 - The Final Horizon

The rebranding of the company was a global sensation.
Elena chose the name Aegis Global, a nod to the mythological shield, representing protection, strength, and unwavering defense.
She had taken the broken, corrupt empire Julian had abandoned and forged it into an unbreakable fortress.
It was a crisp autumn afternoon, and Elena was standing in the newly renovated lobby of the Aegis tower, preparing to unveil the new logo to the press.
Thomas was holding Leo's hand, both of them watching her with absolute adoration.
Leo, now a sharp, perceptive eight-year-old, tugged on Thomas's sleeve.
"Dad?" Leo asked, looking up at the man who had raised him.
"Yes, buddy?" Thomas smiled, kneeling down to be at eye level with his son.
"Can I change my name to Aegis too?" Leo asked earnestly.
Thomas laughed, a rich, warm sound, and ruffled the boy's dark hair.
"You don't need to change your name, Leo. You just need to make sure whatever name you carry, you make it something to be proud of."
Elena overheard them and felt a sudden, profound wave of emotion.
She walked over, kneeling down next to Thomas, and pulled her son into a tight embrace.
"Your dad is right," Elena whispered, kissing Leo's forehead.
"But if you ever want to carry his last name instead, nobody in this world can stop you."
May you like
Leo smiled brightly, wrapping his arms around both of his parents.
The cameras flashed, capturing the image of the Aegis Global CEO not as a cold corporate titan, but as a fiercely protective mother and a deeply loving wife.
