Chapter 24 - The Bloodline Propaganda
The lobby was packed with hungry reporters, their microphones thrust toward the two Sterling men.
"I was broken, battling addiction, and exiled by a woman who manipulated my dying father," Julian recited smoothly, clearly reading a script written by Sebastian.
"But with my uncle's help, I am clean, and I am here to reclaim my rightful place as a father and a Sterling."
Elena watched from the mezzanine balcony, her expression carved from absolute ice.
She felt Thomas's hand grip her shoulder, a silent anchor in the sudden storm.
"They are going to file for joint custody of Leo," Thomas whispered, instantly seeing the true angle of the attack.
"They can't," Elena replied, her voice eerily calm. "Arthur's final addendum stripped Julian of all legal rights."
"Yes, but Sebastian has limitless resources," Thomas warned. "He will drag this through family court for years just to bleed you dry and distract you from the company."
Sebastian looked up at the balcony, his piercing blue eyes locking onto Elena’s.
He offered a small, mocking bow, a silent declaration of total war.
He wasn't just trying to take the company; he was trying to rip Elena's heart out by threatening her son.
Elena turned on her heel and walked back toward the private elevators.
"Get Maya on the phone," Elena ordered her assistant.
"Tell her to mobilize the best private investigators on the eastern seaboard."
