Chapter 28 - Purging the Poison
With Sebastian facing decades in federal prison and Julian permanently terrified into hiding, Elena returned to the Sterling tower to finish the job.
She convened an emergency meeting of the board of directors.
The old guard, who had briefly considered siding with Sebastian, sat nervously in their leather chairs, terrified of Elena's wrath.
Elena stood at the head of the table, tossing the original 1985 Sterling charter onto the polished wood.
"This company was built on the brilliance of Arthur Sterling," Elena began, her voice ringing with absolute authority.
"But it was also built on a foundation of toxic family secrets, loopholes, and archaic rules that allowed parasites like Sebastian to thrive."
She looked around the room, making eye contact with every single executive.
"As of today, we are legally dissolving the Sterling Corporation as it currently exists."
Gasps erupted around the table.
"I am using my majority proxy to restructure this entire empire under a new holding entity," Elena announced smoothly.
"We are purging the old charters, closing the bloodline loopholes, and completely severing this company from the toxic history of the Sterling name."
"From now on, the legacy belongs to the future, not the ghosts of the past."
The executives didn't dare argue.
They had seen what happened to Chloe, to Victoria, to Julian, and to Sebastian.
They knew that betting against Elena was professional suicide.
